Freedom Florence Recreational Complex
Freedom Florence is a multi-use facility consisting of a five-field softball complex, a four-field youth softball complex, a four-field football-soccer complex, a gymnastics facility, picnic shelter with outdoor grills, and a small lake for fishing surrounded by walking and jogging trails. At the front entrance to the softball area, batting cages have been installed for the softball and baseball players use. The athletic facilities were designed in part to host local, state, regional, and world events; as well as, provide championship caliber fields and facilities for the local adults and young people of the Florence area to be involved in athletic competition. Additionally, Freedom Florence offers to its users a mile and one half walking, jogging and biking trail.

FEES AND CHARGES
1. Reservations: The Florence City Recreation Department requires a reservation fee for Freedom Florence Recreation Complex facilities. They must make all reservations requests to the Complex Supervisor, who must determine if any conflicts or scheduling differences are present within the complex or the Recreational Division. The FCRD gives the Complex Supervisor the authority to accept or reject a request only within the confines of these policies. Once we have approved the individual requesting the facility, they must pay the FCRD the required fee/bond.
2. Monetary Procedures: (see rules, attached).
3. Tournament Sponsors: Tournament sponsors will reserve the Freedom Florence Recreation Complex for tournaments on a first come first served basis.
4. Facility Rental: The pavilion and softball complex and multipurpose fields are available for rent. They must make reservations at least four weeks in advance. Reservations not made at least two weeks in advance will be approved if the Complex Supervisor can adequately accommodate the request and it does not conflict with any other event, activity, or work scheduled by Freedom Florence Recreation Complex.
5. Admission Fee: The FCRD will charge an admission fee to enter tournaments and other special events. The FCRD will determine fees and they will vary according to the type and cost associated with the event or tournament.

Along all routes at the major intersections, you will see Teal Green directional signs with the Freedom Florence Logo pointing the way to Freedom Florence.

From I-95 heading North:
Take exit 157 (US Hwy 76) to Florence, at fourth stoplight bear to right on to Second Loop Rd. (Hwy 51). Follow Second Loop Rd. (Hwy 51) through seven (7) stoplights. At next stoplight, turn left on to Freedom Blvd.
From I-95 heading South:
Take exit 164 (US Hwy 52) to Florence; turn left at light off of ramp. Stay straight for twelve (12) stoplights. At next stoplight, turn left on to Hwy 51; go down to the next stoplight and turn left on to Freedom Blvd.
From I-20 heading East:
I-20 ends in Florence and becomes David McLeod Blvd. Stay straight for four stoplights; bear right at the fifth stoplight on to Evans Street. Evans Street turns into Second Loop Rd. (Hwy 51). Stay straight for eight lights; turn left on to Freedom Blvd.
From Hwy 301 (Palmetto Street) heading West:
At fork in the road, bear right on to Cheves Street. Go through two (2) stoplights. At next light turn left on to Church Street. Stay straight for four (4) stoplights. At next light, turn left on to Hwy 51. Go to next stoplight; turn left on to Freedom Blvd.

CONCESSIONS & GATE RECEIPTS
GATE RECEIPTS:
The FCRD will have exclusive rights to all gate receipts.
CONCESSIONS:
The FCRD reserves the right under certain exceptions, i.e., non-profit organizations, charitable organizations and/or educational systems to divide after expenses, the gate receipts between the sponsoring organization and the FCRD, based upon the number of fields reserved.

In case of inclement weather, the Complex Supervisor will decide if the fields are playable. We will judge this based on the risk of injury and damage to the facility. We will make every effort to complete your event on the scheduled dates.
